2015 Visits and Other Events

Saturday 17th January: Organ playing visit to St. Mark’s, Reigate (3-manual ‘Father’ Willis) and St. Michael & All Angels’, Betchworth (2-manual Kenneth Tickell 2014). We are leaving Newbury in cars at 9am and intend to be back by 7pm. Please let me know if you would like to join us if you have not done so already.

Saturday 21st February: NDOA Organ Playing visit to Holy Cross Church, Ramsbury. We are hoping to combine this trip to another instrument in the vicinity.

Saturday 21st March: NDOA AGM at Holy Trinity Church, Hermitage, Berkshire with organ playing opportunity and Choral Evensong.

Good Friday 3rd April:  7.30 pm. at Lambourn Church.  Lambourn Church Choir and Friends Choral Concert. Music by  Mozart and Bach conducted by NDOA member, Stephen Holmes, who will also be playing organ music by Bach. See   /uploads/4/7/7/8/47787617/lambourn_good_friday_poster_3.4.15.doc

Saturday 18 April: 7.30pm. Windsor Parish Church. 'Laurie Holloway & Friends'. A concert of music featuring pianist Laurie Holloway, and including a duet for piano and organ with John Halsey. Proceeds to the church organ restoration fund. Tickets £12, available from 01753 743915 or at the door. 

Saturday 9 May: 7.30pm. Reading Town Hall (Concert Hall). Celebrity Organ Recital by William McVicker. Part of the 150th anniversary celebrations for the Father Willis Organ.  Programme to include fun music for all ages by Sullivan, Hollins, Faulkes, W Lloyd Webber, Patrick Moore, and many more! £13.50 (£11.50 concessions) including booking fee. Reading Arts  0118 960 6060.
