Reading Town Hall (Concert Hall). Heritage Day Organ Demonstrations. Free talk and demonstration of the historic Father Willis Organ by members of the Berkshire Organists' Association, followed by an opportunity for members of the public to play the instrument. 1-hour sessions starting at 11am, 12 noon and 1pm. Free event. No need to book - just turn up
Wednesday 14 September
1pm - 1.50pm. Reading Town Hall (Concert Hall). Lunchtime organ recital on the Father Willis Organ by George Robey (Holmes Chapel, Cheshire). Programme to include music by Mendelssohn, Chuckerbutty and Walton. £5 including booking fee. Reading Arts 0118 960 6060.

12.30 - 1.15pm. Minster Church of St Mary the Virgin, Reading. Lunchtime Organ Recital by Michael Howell (St Thomas of Canterbury, Goring). Admission free. Retiring collection.

2.30pm. Bowood House Chapel, near Calne, Wiltshire. Organ Recital by Gillian Blythman (Thatcham). Admission free - though please note that there are admission charges for visiting the house and gardens.
