Saturday 3 November 7.30pm. All Saints' Church, Frances Road, Windsor, SL4 1HU. "The Harmonious Blacksmith", a concert of music for flute, harpsichord and organ by Bach(s), Handel and Stanley, including the Harmonious Blacksmith Variations and the "St Anne" Prelude & Fugue, played by Jenny Thomas and John Halsey. Refreshments will be served. Admission £10. Proceeds to All Saints organ fund.
Tuesday 6 November 8pm. St Lawrence Church, Alton. Organ recital by Claudia Grinnell (Winchester Cathedral). Admission £10 at the door (including programme), with concessionary rates for students. Thursday 8 November 1.10pm. St Nicolas, Newbury. NDOA Organ recital by Jonathan Holl (Windsor). Admission free. Retiring Collection.
Friday 9 November 6.30pm. St. Matthew, Midgham. RG7 5UW. Organ recital by NDOA member, Steve Bowey (St. Mary’s. Shaw-cum-Donnington). Admission free. Retiring Collection.
Friday 9 November 7.30pm. St John the Baptist, Windsor, SL4 1LT. "On Wenlock Edge", a concert of English vocal and instrumental chamber music given by Rogers Covey-Crump, the New Windsor Church Choir, John Halsey and friends. The programme includes Vaughan Williams' haunting song-cycle On Wenlock Edge and works by Frank Bridge, Howells, Whitlock and Harris. Refreshments will be served. Admission is FREE. Donations to the Parish Church organ appeal will be invited.
Monday 12 November 1pm. Reading Town Hall (Concert Hall). Lunchtime organ recital on the Father Willis Organ by Michael Butterfield (RAM). Programme to include music by Hollins, Harris, Fauré, Bairstow, Lemare and Widor. £5. Reading Arts 0118 960 6060.
Thursday 15 November 7pm. The Great Hall, University of Reading London Road Campus. Recital: 'Redundant as eyelids in absence of light'. A concert by Studio for Propositional Cinema (libretto) and Hampus Lindwall (organist/interpreter). Admission free (pre-booking recommended).
