2016 THURSDAY LUNCHTIME ORGAN RECITALS AT 1:10pm
At St. Nicolas Church, Newbury

JANUARY 14th John Halsey (Windsor Parish Church)
Programme (all by JS Bach) to include

Twelve chorale preludes from the Orgelbuchlein

APRIL 14th John Mountford (Chapel Organist, Bradfield College)
JUNE 9th Alistair Davis (St. John’s, Stockcross)
JULY 14th Rosemary Evans (St. John the Evangelist, Newbury)

OTHER EVENTS

Saturday 9 January
10.00am – 4.00pm. NDOA Organ playing visit to St. Mary’s Church, Calne and Marlborough College Chapel. Please contact Rosemary Evans if you have not already let us know that you are joining us for this event. We need to let Marlborough College know how many cars we will be arriving in.
 
Monday 11 January
12.40 - 1.20pm. ChristChurch, Woking. Lunchtime Organ Recital by Gillian Lloyd. Audience members are invited to make a suggested donation of £3 towards recital costs.  

Friday 15 January
12.30 - 1.15pm. Minster Church of St Mary the Virgin, Reading. Lunchtime Organ Recital by Ian Hillier. Admission free. Retiring collection.  

Saturday 16 January     ** BOA Event **

2.30pm. St Andrew's URC, London Road, Reading. Social afternoon, including a talk by Christopher Burrows on J.S.Bach's organ works with recorded illustrations, followed by tea. Hear about Bach the Mathematician, Bach the Painter and Bach the Mystic. Contributions towards the tea in kind would be very welcome. Please contact theProgramme Secretary no later than Monday 11 January if you wish to attend.  

Wednesday 20 January
1pm - 1.50pm. Reading Town Hall (Concert Hall). Lunchtime organ recital on the Father Willis Organ by Jonathan Holl (Windsor).
Programme to include music by Stanley, Ernst/Bach and Liszt. £5 including booking fee.

Monday 25 January
12.40 - 1.20pm. ChristChurch, Woking. Lunchtime Organ Recital by Dr Anthony Gritten. Audience members are invited to make a suggested donation of £3 towards recital costs.  

Monday 8 February
12.40 - 1.20pm. ChristChurch, Woking. Lunchtime Organ Recital by Martin Hall. Audience members are invited to make a suggested donation of £3 towards recital costs.
 
Saturday 27 February 10.00am – 5.00pm. NDOA Organ Day 
10:00am—c.11:30am at Newbury Methodist Church—‘Riddles and Reasoning’, NDOA member Christopher Burrows gives an illustrated talk on J.S. Bach’s Passacaglia in C minor, BWV 582 and
2:00pm—5:00pm at St. Mary’s Shaw-cum-Donnington—NDOA AGM preceded by ‘Steve-on-Shaw-footing’, NDOA member Steve Bowey demonstrates the organ, followed by an opportunity to try the instrument and refreshments
